The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club (OBGC) is an independent, non-profit organization, founded by Carl J. Delberta. Community donations are our sole source of funding. 100% of your donation stays here and is used only by the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club to continue its work with the children of our community. We receive no funds from any government agency, and are not affiliated with the United Way or the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. All contributions are tax deductible. As well as this site, donations may be made in the Club office or mailed to us at any time during the year. We pay no commissions to any agency or individual for fund raising.
The Club operates from September through July, six days a week during boys' and girls' leisure hours. During the month of July, we hold girl's softball, day sports camps; basketball, football, and archery, as well as, arts & crafts camps. We take educational outdoor trips that include: fishing, canoeing, camping, and hiking. Also, each year the Otsego County Sheriff's Department allows the Club to choose a couple members to visit their camp at Keuka Lake in Penn Yan, New York for an entire week with no charge.
